A San Diego Engagement

Engagements are beautiful and fun! However, stressful on the ring holder too! We were happy when we were recently contacted by Jonathan to help him create the perfect proposal day for his one and only, Liz.

He had a good idea of what he wanted: a picturesque beach day, scavenger hunt along the way and a seaside sunset with minimal exposure to crowds. After learning more about the couple, we took him to one of our favorite local spots at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park. A hidden cove, 50 feet above the sand, within the cliffs away from the sunset crowds, we knew this quintessential San Diego spot would be perfect for this beach loving couple.

We arrived early in the day to clean up the area, add simple design elements to personalize the space for the couple and notify any hikers of the area being used briefly during sunset. To personalize the space without covering too much of the natural beauty of the cliffs, we covered up small sections of graffiti with white gossamer, delicately placed eucalyptus and white scabiosa along the walk down to the cove and added a few blown up photos of the couple marking milestones in their relationship. After a short hike into the cliffs, the couple arrived, Liz was completely blown away and most importantly, she said yes!
