2019 Wedding Trends + Our Favs!

First and foremost...Happy New Year! As some of your know, we have a wonderful partnership with a fun and rustic venue in Bonita called Sweetwater Farms. During the months of January + February, we are excited to take some time to review all of our beautiful 2018 events in partnership with the venue's owners. As we look back on 2018, we are also thrilled to see all of the trend forecasting for 2019. Natural fabrics, ‘modern rusticity’ and bringing indoor living spaces outside. Those trends mixed with the Pantone Color of the Year, Living Coral, are sure to brighten up the farm, yet also bring design elements back to basics!
We wanted to take a moment to share a few ideas that we would love to see our Sweetwater Farms’ Clients and Couples take a chance on this year.

Laura’s favorite trend to see at the farm…
I would love to open up one of the stalls inside the reception barn and create an outdoor living room! We’ve seen couples bring the lounge outside in the courtyard or on the lawn featuring some truly stunning designs. Time to switch it up! Let’s bring that space inside the barn, surrounded by your guest tables! Lounges have become a staple during weddings and events and if not created in a welcoming manor it will go overlooked or disassembled and moved around. Furnish a conversation stall across from the sweetheart table, complete with some rented foliage, a hanging light fixture and some draping from the exposed beams. I’d love to help you design this! Another great example of creating a welcoming outdoor living space...TomTom in LA!

First I’d love to help design a wedding ceremony on the Barn Lawn! Though this space is better for a smaller wedding size, it’s potential is endless. We can create a Barn Lawn ceremony site with natural white fabrics draped over our reclaimed wood benches for your guests. I suggest bringing in bright white faux fur throws during the cooler months and light linens and raw cottons with natural imperfections in the warmer months. We can help you select a few rustic and boho designed pillows that can be transitioned to your barn lounge afterwards too! Interested in hearing more? Contact us for a tour and I’d love to show you the lawn ceremony space to design this on-trend ceremony area.
